Voting is now open!

Filipino Readers' Choice Awards

Okay, I think we just broke some records for this year’s Filipino Readers’ Choice Awards — we received a total of 273 submissions for the nomination phase! It’s a very overwhelming turnout. Thank you so much to everyone who sent their nominations. You can see the final list of nominees here.

Now that the nomination period is over, we move to the fun part — Phase 2 of the Filipino Readers’ Choice Awards: VOTING! You can find the online ballot here.

The voting period will determine the short list for the semi-finals that will be sent for panel judging. Top 3 winners for each category will be included in the shortlist for the semi-finals, which will be sent to the judges for the panel judging.

Voting period is up to September 6, 2013. Some reminders:

  • One vote per category, one ballot per email address. Multiple votes using one email address will not be counted.
  • You need to click one button per category for your vote to be submitted. If you have no vote for a specific category, you may select the “Skip” button.
  • The ballot has 4 pages, so make sure you go through all of them. Your vote is not submitted until you click the Submit button and get the confirmation.

So, this is your time to really promote your favorite books among the nominees. Vote, spread the word, tell anyone you know who’s read them and tell them to vote for it! Tweet about it, post it on Facebook or blog about it! These votes could push your favorite books to the next phase, and have the chance to be awarded as this year’s winners for the Filipino Readers’ Choice Awards. :) The awarding ceremony will be on the 3rd Filipino ReaderCon on November 9, 2013.

Again, voting period will be until September 6, 2013 so there’s lots of time to tell your friends and vote! For questions, you may send an email to filipinoreaderschoice(at)gmail.com.
