Filipino Readers’ Choice Awards 2015 Finalists

THE FILIPINO READERS’ CHOICE AWARDS IS NOW AT THE BDAP SITE. CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS ON FRCA 2022!

We thought last year was record breaking, but this year just shattered our expectations and left us speechless. So yes, if you checked our post last year, we did hit 100,000 votes and exceeded that number, actually. :D What an amazing turn out! For this year we got an astounding 101, 358 votes (yes, we triple checked!) when the voting period came to a close and it took us a while to verify because of the sheer number we had to go through.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who nominated, voted, told their friends, classmates, random strangers, harnessed the power of social media or just passed the information by word of mouth to go and vote for their favorite books and authors. The committee is beyond words because of this year’s voting turn out and from our hearts, we sincerely thank you all for the support!

We made you wait long enough so finally, here are the finalists for this year’s Filipino Readers’ Choice Awards!

Hi, everyone! This is a buzzer-beater update, and we apologize for this. Some of our committee members went down with a bug, so we had less manpower today. We are still human, apparently. ;) And it was especially hard for us to build this form this time, because we received 898 nominations that’s outside of what the publishers nominated. Amazing. (FYI, we received 855 public nominations in 2014, and 273 in 2013). Thank you for your support!

Missed the nominees? Here’s the list.

And speaking of that — it’s now time for you to support your favorite books! The 2015 Filipino Readers’ Choice Awards is now open for voting! (Click on the link to open the ballot in a new window!)

The voting period will determine the short list for the semi-finals that will be sent for panel judging. Top 3 winners for each category will be included in the shortlist for the semi-finals, which will be sent to the judges for the panel judging.

Voting period is up to September 25, 2015. Some reminders:

  • One vote per category, one ballot per email address. Multiple votes using one email address will not be counted.
  • You need to click one button per category for your vote to be submitted. If you have no vote for a specific category, you may select the “Skip Category” option.
  • The ballot has 8 pages, so make sure you go through all of them. Your vote is not submitted until you click the Submit button and get the confirmation.

The confirmation page will look like this:

If you do not see this page, please check your ballot and make sure you have clicked Submit, otherwise your vote will be invalid.

Support your favorite books among the nominees, and spread the word! Share it on all your social media accounts, make your friends vote. :D Your vote could push for your favorite books onto the next phase, and have a chance to be awarded as the winner for this year’s Filipino Readers’ Choice Awards.

The finalists will be announced after the voting period on this website. For the meantime, vote, vote, vote! :)
