Happy Monday, everyone! We hope you’re having a great start to the week.

A few reminders before nominating a book:

  • Books that are qualified to be nominated this year are those published in the Philippines from January to December 2013. Check the publishing date of the book you’re nominating because if it doesn’t fit the criteria, the book will not be included in the nominee list.
  • For books that belong in a series, only the books that are published within the time period specified will be qualified for nominations.
  • Self-published / independent books (print or electronic) can be nominated as long as they are published within the time period.
  • Books that are reprinted / released in a different format will not be included in the list as we counted the release date when it was first published. This is done to avoid duplication of previously nominated titles.

Please note that this list is NOT final. Due to the number of entries, the FRCA committee might miss some entries that shouldn’t be qualified. The committee is still continuously verifying these (as well as the ones that are still coming in) up until the end of the nomination period, so if you do not see the book you nominated, then it means we’re still verifying them. Also, some of these books may not make it to the end of the nomination period because it may not have passed the verification. If you have questions, corrections or clarifications about any nominee, you can send us an email at filipinoreaderschoice@gmail.com.

    *Me again*
    Hello.
Just wondering if a story evolves with a character other than man, like__ vampire, elves, wolf, dwarfs, angels, sorcerers and alike though it is a love story… Should it fall under a Romance in Filipino category? Or it is appropriate for Fiction?
I’m just curious here because some of the nominees in Romance in Filipino is about of these characters. Sorry for asking. :(

    Thank you.

Bakit nandito ang montello high eh karerelease lang nun last month? Eh Jan-Dec. 2013 lang dapat nandito diba? Baka may nalagay din kayo na iba na hindi naman narelease nung Jan.-Dec.

    • Tina says:

Hi Chacha! Thanks for the comment! Note that this is still a partial list, and due to the number of nominees, the committee might miss something just as what you have pointed out. They are still continuously verifying the nominations up until end of the nomination period. Your comments help, and so please do send them in if ever you see anything that missed the committee’s radar. Thank you.
