Filipino Readers’ Choice Awards 2013 Finalists

So after a long wait after the voting period has closed…we have news that everyone is waiting for! Of course, if you were at the Filipino ReaderCon kick-off event, you know the finalists by now, but in case you weren’t there, then here’s the list.

But wait, before that. We would like to thank everyone who voted and campaigned for their favorite books during the voting period. We received a whopping 8,146 votes for the entire voting period, more than 3x the amount of votes from last year’s! Amazing. :)

Okay, are we ready?

WAIT, one more thing. If you were at the Filipino ReaderCon kick-off, I’m sure you would’ve seen the new Filipino Readers’ Choice Awards logo too. :) In case you missed that, too:

Congratulations to all finalists! What’s next after this? All books will be sent to a panel of judges for each category. These judges are Filipino book bloggers and readers, and they will deliberate which book is truly worthy to be the Readers’ Choice Awards for 2013. The winners will be announced on the 3rd Filipino ReaderCon on November 9, 2013 at the Rizal Library. :)

So thank you again to everyone who nominated, voted and campaigned during the first two phases of this year’s Filipino Readers’ Choice Awards. We highly encourage you all to also read the books listed above — if the public voted for it, then it must be good, right? :) Congratulations to the authors, illustrators and publishers once again, and we hope to see you at the awarding ceremony! :)
